Sign up now for the 2007 SunDance Riding Therapy, Inc. riding schedule! Four sessions are available and include seven weeks of half-hour riding slots on Tuesday evenings at Gray Manor Stables in Moorhead. Sessions are $160.00 with an additional yearly registration fee of $30.00. Scholarships are available and can fund up to 100% of sessions. Volunteer Spotlight: Marsha Lautt
Marsha Lautt has been volunteering for SunDance for 6 months as a side walker and groomer. She likes volunteering for SunDance because she enjoys working with other volunteers and seeing the riders' smiles and watching while watching them progress with their riding.She found out about SunDance through The Forum, and saw a perfect match for volunteering, having worked with the disabled before at the State Hospital in Brainerd, MN. She has a love of horses and has been around them her whole life. Her and her husband Marlo both ride whenever they can."Every week I like watching the riders' smiles when they know they've done well with riding. And I enjoy visiting with their families," Marsha says. She likes getting hugs from the riders, and gaining their trust.Also a dog lover, Marsha finds the time to do dog sitting. She volunteers on Bingo Night at Eventide and works in Food Service at MeritCare in Fargo.One of her favorite moments volunteering at SunDance was at last fall's Appreciation Picnic. She noted how much fun the riders had and how happy they were to get trophies.Marsha and Marlo live in Moorhead and have four sons.Happy Birthday to SunDance Riders and Volunteers
